Launch of the Benjamin Zephaniah Legacy memorial calendar

The National Mikey Powell Memorial Family Fund have launched the Benjamin Zephaniah remembrance calendar on behalf of his family.


The calendar will be populated over coming weeks and months and will feature national events that were, or are due to be, held to remember Professor Benjamin Zephaniah who sadly died on 7 December 2023 aged 65.

"The family actively encourage independent events as well as those they may collaborate with. Where possible, they would be happy to send along family representatives."

The family are meeting on 10th February to consider offers to host events that have come in from Birmingham, London, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham etc.


These offers range from local councils, individuals, businesses, charities, universities, schools and more! 'Keep an eye on our news for updates.'
